In the waste and resource management division, we specialise in the provision of services to both public and private clients in the solid waste, bio-waste and sludge management sectors. At the forefront of developing and formulating regional waste management plans and strategies for municipal solid waste (MSW) and sludge management, FTC has expertise in waste facilities design from site selection and feasibility studies through to planning, design, contract administration and construction supervision, commissioning and handover.

FTC provides services to clients and projects across a wide range of scientific disciplines including ecology, air and odour, noise, hydrology, water quality, geology and hydrogeology through its in-house environmental team. These skills are successfully utilised on a broad range of projects, from new build motorway schemes and light rail projects to major waste treatment facilities, large industrial development and renewable energy projects.
Through experienced in-house  design teams the FTC civil infrastructure division provides a range of services which encompass all stages of development ranging from initial feasibility studies, planning and environmental impact assessment through to detailed design, tender documents and procurement, contract administration and construction supervision. FTC has extensive experience in all forms of procurement of civil infrastructure and contract forms, including employer’s design, design and build (D&B) and public private partnership (PPP).

A specialist in-house energy group provides a comprehensive service including expert advice on all issues relating to grid connection, power purchase agreements and statutory consents. . FTC has provided professional services to over 80 onshore wind energy projects throughout Ireland and in Scotland, as well as one of the world’s largest offshore developments at Arklow Bank off the East Coast of Ireland. We also have comprehensive experience in gas pipeline project development and LFG infrastructure including site management.
