MDS undertook an asbestos refurbishment and demolition survey for a retail client, as part of their pre-acquisition process, before entering into a long lease.

Cornhill Exchange London

MDS undertook an asbestos refurbishment survey to ascertain the presence of asbestos containing materials on a large corporate training centre in central London. Following the survey, MDS removed and disposed of asbestos insulation board under controlled conditions was carried out on behalf of the client and in liaison with the Health and Safety Executive and City of London Authority.

New Zealand Embassy, Paris, France

MDS Carried out a refurbishment surveys to ascertain the presence of asbestos on this site in central paris, due to the historic nature and use of the building endoscopes were used extensively so as to minimise damage to the structure. Following the discovery of various acms MDS carried out removal, disposal and making good works to various areas of the embassy whilst minimising disruption to the post and its staff.

Callis Yard, Woolwich, London

To carry out refurbishment surveys to ascertain the presence of asbestos containing materials on a large development site in South London consisting of numerous buildings listed and non listed. The survey was part of the enabling works to demolition for a large scale development. Following the survey MDS were instructed by the client to carry out all asbestos removal and disposal works over a 4 week period.

Asbestos Removal Dublin, Ireland

To carry out an asbestos refurbishment survey to ascertain the presence of asbestos containing materials on a retail site consisting in central Dublin. Following the survey removal and disposal of asbestos insulation board under controlled conditions was carried out on behalf of the client and in liason with the Irish Health and Safety Authority.

Eston Park Academy, Middlesbrough, Cleveland

To carry out refurbishment surveys to ascertain the presence of asbestos containing materials on a large secondary school site consisting of numerous CLASP (Consortium of Local Authorities Special Programme) buildings constructed in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The survey was part of the enabling works to allow window removal and replacement which was carried out by MDS over a 2 year period. Planning was of the utmost importance as all works were carried out during school holidays meaning all new architectural glazing had to be manufactured in advance of asbestos removal and removal of existing glazing. We are pleased to say that all phases were carried out on time and in budget of circa 500k. The result was a more efficient double glazed structure which greatly enhanced the students learning environment.

Thomas Cook Retail

To carry out asbestos management surveys and periodic revisits to the Thomas Cook group retail network of over 800 retail units throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We have carried out detailed asbestos surveys, which record the location, extent, type; accessibility and surface treatment of all confirmed or suspected asbestos materials.
This type of survey requires specialist, experienced and competent staff with the knowledge to conduct the appropriate survey. Here MDS Environmental Services was able to use its vast experience and analytical knowledge via its directly employed staff to provide to assist our client to adhere to current legislation and enable a structured program of asbestos removal.

Teesside Retail Park, Stockton on Tees – Form temporary trading unit whilst existing store refurbished, then close down temporary store and undertake dilapidations prior to temporary lease expiry.
