It would seem that the majority of people believe that asbestos is a material used to sheet roofs. Few are aware of the diverse number of uses that were once common for asbestos. This is not a problem for most people but for those who have to deal with the risks of asbestos containing materials it is essential that they have a good awareness.
The Control Of Asbestos Regulations 2012 places an obligation on all employers to ensure that all any of their employees that come into contact with asbestos within the workplace must have had asbestos awareness training. This can be anyone from the office manager down to the cleaner.
