As of the 14th February, licensed contractors have been informed they need to fill out an Asbestos Enclosure Handover Form, which is then to be passed over to the analyst before a 4-stage clearance takes place.
The document is in the form of a checklist for the licensed contractor to run through, ensuring they have everything outlined and ready before they arrange for a 4-stage clearance.
In summary, the form’s objective is for the licensed contractor to ensure they carry out a thorough visual inspection of the enclosure to identify that the work area is clear of visible debris and dust, and is both clean and dry.
The form has been distributed to LARCs (Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors), through their trade association.
